    How to determine the manufacturer of a mother board for driver for board

    The reason I am asking this question I have a mother board that I can not remember who made it and the hard drive got used in another computer

    I want to maybe reuse this mother board again

    So how do I figure out what drivers that I need

    I planned on using Windows 7 on it

    It is written on the motherboard somewhere, often somewhere between memory, bridge and processor socket. Otherwise, you can just get the HWID from Windows device manager and find the driver.
    Useful conversions. I don't "speak" imperial. Please use metric, if you want to address me.
    1km=1000m=100000cm, 1inch=2.54cm, 1mile=1609.344meters, 1ft=30.48cm 1gal(US)=3.785liters, 1lb=453grams, 1oz=28.34grams

      Check the cmos setup, it might contain the model number

      You can install win7 on it (if it's USB 3.0 you'll have to slipstream the intel xhci drivers-if it's intel-amd ones if it's amd)

      after that, you can search device ID's to determine drivers, or sometimes even CPU-Z can tell you the motherboard model if the cmos setup does not
