Hi,
I am attempting to repair a Vizio P502UI-B3 TV. At first, the TV would not successfully boot at all. We replaced the main board and that solved that issue. Now what we are facing is the LED strips are not turning on for one half of the screen. We initially thought the LED driver board could be bad so we swapped it but the symptoms are exactly the same. We disassembled the TV down to the LED strips and noticed that one strip on the left side of the TV does not work and most strips on the right side either light up very dimly or do not turn on at all. Swapping the strips that work to locations that do not work and vice versa make no difference, it seems that the strips themselves are good.
What we have tested voltage wise is the driver board gets 24V on each pin from the power supply that is labeled as 24V. The LED strips that do not work get higher voltages than the ones that do work.
The power supply board is 09-70CAR040-00, the LED board is 1P-1146C00-2011, and the main board is 0160CAP06E00. We are fairly new to TV repair and would appreciate any guidance as to where to troubleshoot from here. Thank you!
