Random squealing from dual monitor array

I recently replaced my 14" Compaq 1024 CRT in my primary box's dual monitor array with a 17" Samsung Syncmaster 753DF. I increased the resolution from 1024*768 75Hz to 1152*864 75Hz. Now, there is sometimes a squealing from the Samsung. Could this be because of interaction between the 2 monitors? Btw, I'm running my primary monitor at 1600*1200 85Hz.

I don't think that they are interacting. This sometimes happens to my monitor when I increase resolution. It could probably be fixed with hot glue but it does happen too much, so I haven't looked inside. Look at it this way your computer sings to you.
    Hope this helps.

Thanks, the prob appears to have stopped. Maybe the monitor is 'settled' at the higher resolution.
