web browser link search?

Hi guys;i'm not getting the browser link search in this E-machines intel celeron D in xubuntu 14.04 the same way i get in another pc intel P4.
see pic there is a black bar in place of the link http/www.
never seen this!

try another browser like midori to see if it's the browser or a system lib.

btw, e-machines are known to often have crap psu's that kill the motherboard - usb first.
so check it sometime.

Thanks but i was able to fix the issue,and for someone that comes across this same issue here goes:

Click Edit,Preferences,go to enter about:config in the url bar and find the gfx.xrander.enabled and change the value to false
