    macbook a1466 Inject 3.3v and 5v

    Hello

Short Question> can I inject 3.3v and 5v from external power supply, *ground joined*, in combination with original charger?

LOG QUESTION In an scenario where the motherboard has an IC tpsxxxx who is responsable for 3.3v and 5v generation, and it is not working, despite of its enabling signals, is it posible to inject 3.3v and 5v in the coils (without lifting them, in the capacitor side), and managing the powergood signals, and connect the charger to the motherbord and test it??

Why try such wierd things?? Post your measurement of 3/5V regulator instead and specify the exact IC mark as well the mb code.

Ok thks 4 answering...tps 51980 macbook a1466 the ic does not heat. It is enabled and present with all vin and habilitations EN EN1 and EN2 wich are 3 (1 general and 2 other ones for 3.3v and 5v) but no output at coils. Also the REGulation outputs are ok at 3.3v and 5v!
The mosfets are ok too compared against an identical motherboard..
Was planning to test with a desktop CPU cables joined for ground .. 3.3v and 5v
      Still would be missing powergoods
      But that was resolved too.
Just need to know if can procede.
