Can anyone tell me if the backlight ccfls are replaceable with others, new or used from other makes and models of tv's. finding parts lists are impossible. I have found ccfls in the proper length and diameter. Just don't know if they're interchangeable.

as long as the length is about right (certainly no longer than originals) they should be fine. you won't find this in a parts list as the manufacturer considers the entire assembly a replaceable unit. Larger screens (26 inch and above) tend to be east to take apart to get access to the ccfl's, be careful with the tabs at the top and sides as they are easily damaged and try to keep dust out if you can.

Also make sure the lamps in your panel are CCFL not EEFL. You can look up the spec sheet of the LCD panel to find out.
