Hi to all, i write to ask help.
As many other users i've bought a SP3 (i5 4300u+256gb ssd) on ebay without being informed of the UEFI pw....
I've read the first pages of this thread but i'm stuck with FPTW64
i have downloaded it from win-raid forum as said initially (mine is v15.40 r1 from this month) but when i try to dump to file
i get two errors:Code:FPTW64.exe -D SP3
Error 39: PCH is not supported.
Error 620: Unknown hardware platform.
FPT Operation Failed.

sorry for the dumbness... i've downloaded the right version(v9.5 r6) but no luck here... now as output i have:

i've finally found my real dumbness!
i was launching the wrong command (without the -bios parameter)
finally i have the bios.bin file!!
please someone can extract the bios pw from there for me?
alternatively can you explain how to retrieve it from the file(i know that is hex)? would be very helpful also for other users that stumble upon this thread!

Hello everybody I'm a newbie here. Nice to meet you!
I recently bought a second-hand Surface Pro 3 which unfortunately has BIOS/UEFI locked with an unknown password. I didn't know this until the latest Windows Update failed, and I could not go into BIOS/UEFI to disable Secured Boot for recovery...
I manage to fully recover it from factory image, but would also like to update the TPM firmware to latest version for security sake. Secured Boot needs to be disabled to do it - could not proceed without the BIOS password
Have followed the steps to dump my BIOS as attached. Please help to decode the password. Thanks heaps in advance!

Open your dump with Hxd or other Hexadecimal program
Locate area with
texte AMITSESetup or Hex 41 4d 49 54 53 45 53 65 74 75 70.
Take the hex values in the red area (two passwords can be stored).
