Got this TV with no backlights and found 16 out of 90 bad. There was 1 or 2 out in every strip. Ordered a full set of replacement strips from ebay seller asa.vd.pc which were a bit cheaper than shopjimmy.
Bit tricky getting the panel lined up on re-assembly and it was sliding on me once I had the tv vertical. Trick is to make sure the outer bezel that holds the panel is snapped in all the way (no screws) and the panel is perfectly flush.
With the TV on, I noticed it was set to "DYNAMIC" mode on all inputs which sets the LEDs at maximum brightness 20 out of 20 max.
