They can be separate

Thanks belen ive got both versions on my laptop now so will give them a try when i have fitted the headers to my esr tester boards im in no rush as my latest 2016 esr tester works fine and the old version im updating is just for a spare but need to replace the smd atmega328 ic first so then i can add a 16 mhz crystal and latest firmware so its a ongoing project just waiting on parts now (ic coming from china)

AVRDUDESS is only a JAVA based GUI, you still need AVRdude installed for it to do anything - just so you know.

Is there a way I can verify when it writes fuses or what might be wrong with my USBAPS's?
Both of them seem to be broken
I have shorte jumper 2 on both to program and unshorted trying to program an attiny

Always getting this error from the Arduino IDE

avrdude: error: program enable: target doesn't answer. 1 
avrdude: initialization failed, rc=-1
     Double check connections and try again, or use -F to override
     this check.

I'm trying to program an ATTINY85 with an Arduino IDE

I did not type nothing I just configured the programmer in the IDE and tried to upload the sketch if its more easy whitn AVRDUDESS I really do not know how to upload an sketch into that or how can I know if now my fuses were wrote correctly?

cant help - i know nothing about arduino other than the boards have a bootloader.

Ok regardless Arduino... with AVR dude can you do that? to be able to see if it's working?

I might try to program the original chip that came with the esr tester with the USBASP. But if yoiu want we can do it in another thread not to keep populating this one?

FUCK! - i just built a TFT tester kit for a guy, and the test socket is defective - the contacts dont open!!
has anybody else seen bad test sockets??

Sorry guys i have not updated this thread basically a mate wanted to borrow a esr tester as i didnt want to lend him my good one i leant him this one, yesterday when i went to collect it he has misslaid it! so he has gave me the cash to order another one so i can carry on with my project so this will be on hold for a few weeks.
this is the one i got him too order as it has a additional usb port already fitted im not sure what size atmega ic this has or even if it has a crystal fitted but i have the spares too upgrade along with a usbasp header.

i dont recomend any, you still have 2 of them - put that 10 into a frequency counter or other bit of usefull kit.

btw, i dont know what the hell the usb port is fitted for, there is no lithium battery or charge-circuit on that board - i suspect it either serves no function or is just a power input.

I think its a power input too as i didnt pay for it or order it i think he just went on what mine looked like, i was thinking about buying a frequency counter anyway as its always worth having one and cheap and another bit of equipment i have not got.

well i just built this.

this is for the COLOUR-TFT KIT. and will be known as "AY-AT" because it's printed on the pcb.
this is tested btw.

no, it's a kit from ebay with a red pcb.
i dont recommend it - it's slow to update the screen, and i cant free enough memory to enable crystal testing!
