It is possible that the head phone jack disconnects the internal speakers. You should beable to tell by how the head phone jack is wired.

My knock off Visco LCD TV that is made from china mutt parts (like polariod) had a problem with the onboard amp chip. The "enable" pin needed to be grounded to force it on. If you google the p/n of the audio chip you should beable to pull up the data sheet on it.

I ended up just bypassing the entire on board audio by adding a old PC speaker amp to it. Wired it to the TV's interal speakers, pulled the signal off the RCA jack, and robbed power off the 12vdc side of the power supply.

      by ChaosLegionnaire

Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB (Chassis SR) TV Repair Help - Distorted Subwoofer Sound and overall weird sound waveforms
      by LEECH666
      Good day ladies and gentleman!

I am currently trying to repair a Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB LCD TV for a friend that has a weird audio problem. Basically everything works fine except for the heavily distorted sound when the Subwoofer module is connected and there is a buzzing sound coming from the PSU PCB.

This seems to be a rather rare TV so there is not much prior on topic help to be found however a service manual is available at the usual sources (Electro Tanya i.e.).

I think the PSU buzzing comes from one of the coils near the bridge rectifier but...

Dell Latitude E6230 - Problem with sound jack ? (De-solder)
      by Acnologia
      Hello to all!

Suddenly a E6230 jack failed, and the strange thing is this.
      Let me explain.

I have swapped the sound jack with the closest that i can get. (4 pins on one side 3 pins on the other side)
The one that i used, you have to plug-in a headphone jack , to LISTEN from Speakers.
If i solder it , opposite direction , i mean the top down , and down up , then you have to plug it in , to listen from headphones,BUT no from speakers even if not connected.

I am sure that the sound jack that i have ordered and bought, it's not the...

Audio Jack on hp-ec1001np detects phones and external speakers but no sound
      by StrongTester
Hello friends, I am having trouble with a hp-ec1001np that detects the headphones or speakers when connected to the jack, but no sound comes out. The normal laptop speakers work fine. Anyone has an idea what it might be? Did a full reinstall of windows, still nothing.

Marian Trace Alpha sound card repair help
      by Christos Tsiligiannis
      Hello to the forum.

My name is Christos, I am new to the forum here and i am posting from Greece.

So i have this old German sound card from Marian, called Trace Alpha. To be exact i have 2 of them and i use them professionally for my small FM radio station here. The first one works like a charm, but the second one does not work at all.

To be more specific in the same exact pc with windows 7 (i even tried 32bit) the one works while the other doesn't.

So i tried asking for a schematic from the company and they would not give me one. Instead they...
