    Purchasing electronic components

    Hi,

I find that being located in Germany, that it is not too easy to purchase smd components other than from Aliexpress. The problem with that is, that it takes a while to receive the parts. It would be highly appreciated, if others located in this part of the world could advice me where (if at all) they would recommend to get these components.

    As always, thanks in advance.

For some of the parts, you will have no other choice than to purchase from Aliexpress. Many of the parts available through Aliexpress are not available to the public due to licensing agreements with the vendor who has purchased the parts for their exclusive use. In the wild wild East, anything goes for money and the same protected parts are available for sale to the general public.

For the standard parts, always check the mainstream distribution channels including Digikey, Mouser, Arrow Electronics. If you are repairing phones / laptops - then do check your local repair stores that may offer the same parts for resale. Passive parts like resistors / capacitors, etc. should be available through the noted distributors. In the UK there are other stores like Newark (Avnet company) and RS Electronics as well.
