Today, one of my friends gave me an old Samsung Syncmaster 943nw(panel is BOE HT190WG1-600). As expected, it wasn't working. I tried to repair the caps, but screwed up the solder points. Now, I want to reuse it by getting a Universal LCD Controller that can run it.
The problem is that, the LCD controller runs on 5v and the inverter is not suitable for the panel 4 CCFL connectors. I went searching again and found this inverter that is perfect, but it runs on 12v. Here's the link to the LCD controller which runs on 5v. Note that the connectors for inverter power is the same on both boards.
My question is can I take 12v & ground wires from the inverter and plug it into a separate psu and plug the brightness control/inverter_on wires into the lcd controller? Is the signal voltage different on different inverters?(5v inverter vs 12v inverter)
