Compatibility between lcd controller & inverter. (5v vs 12v)

Today, one of my friends gave me an old Samsung Syncmaster 943nw(panel is BOE HT190WG1-600). As expected, it wasn't working. I tried to repair the caps, but screwed up the solder points. Now, I want to reuse it by getting a Universal LCD Controller that can run it.

The problem is that, the LCD controller runs on 5v and the inverter is not suitable for the panel 4 CCFL connectors. I went searching again and found this inverter that is perfect, but it runs on 12v. Here's the link to the LCD controller which runs on 5v. Note that the connectors for inverter power is the same on both boards.

My question is can I take 12v & ground wires from the inverter and plug it into a separate psu and plug the brightness control/inverter_on wires into the lcd controller? Is the signal voltage different on different inverters?(5v inverter vs 12v inverter)

    Lemme rephrase that question:

Can I take 12v line from the inverter and plug it into the 12v rail and plug the brightness control/inverter_on wires into the 5v lcd controller? Is the signal voltage different on different inverters?(5v inverter vs 12v inverter)

The inverter board spec does not indicate what the requirement for the pin 4 ADJ (Lamp brightness) control Voltage range must be.
Most inverter uses Analog dimming control DCV 1VDC = MIN Brightness, 5VDC = Max brightness. Some may use PWM DIMMING.
The control signal level and the Voltage level for supplying are not related for most Inverter board, you can have the HV Inverter section that runs on 12V or 24V but the control signals will be in the 5V level.
So you need to find out if the control signals from your universal LCD Cotrller is compatible with your universal Inverter board or not, the web page does not show that details spec.

So if I google the datasheet for the microcontroller on the LCD controller and inverter, should it tell me if it runs on analog or PWM signals?

you need the datasheet for the invertor chip, or a schematic

Is it safe to assume that the signal transmission is the same?(considering both connectors are the same, and made in the same era) I cannot find much about the inverter's main chip. The two other's are power mosfets. Also, the inverter may not fit the casing, so I may have to find another one. Any suggestions? So far, I have this in mind which has a slightly simpler circuit, which also I cannot check the mainchip's serial number.

              you can assume nothing.

Go look up some LCD panel spec sheets then you will what the requirement are for T-con and for the inverter board, the connector pin out, etc.
Connectors may look the same but it does not mean anything since you need to match each pin's function.
You will have to lots of research for the board and understand how the TV function first before even try to do what are trying to do, bottom line: Learn the basic first.

Alright, after some research, the main IC on the LCD controller(himax hx6856), I found out that it uses PWM for the backlight control. No details on the inverter though, picture was too blurry. Also, do you guys know any where I could get a complete set on the cheap with just a VGA input? I'm currently at my wits end about this project. Or maybe an inverter that operates with pwm signals. I just want a quick and easy way to finish this.

you can get universal 12v invertors on ebay.

                      I have an ASUS ROG Strix- G513IH-HN008, motherboard G513-6050A3249301- MB-A04 (A4)

When I received the device, the device has no function. After an investigation, I found that the PWM CONTROLLER RT6575B (U6100) is getting warm and there is a short circuit at the 3V3 output. This normally supplies 3V3 for the embedded controller IT5571E-128 (U301). When measuring and analyzing with a thermal imaging camera, I found that some components are damaged: SLG4E42553VTR (U8500), IT5571E-128 (U301), LAN RTL8111H (U450), LOGIC 74LVC1G08GW (U1900), RT6575B (U6100) All these components are on...

I just got this tv today and it appeared to have no backlight on. After taking off the rear cover and checking again in the dark I can see that MAYBE one quadrant is lit.. But still it's quite dim. I was going to check the LEDs with my tester, and I found LED 1 and LED 2 + pins on the wire from the inverter, but I couldn't identify a ground. Nonetheless I tried using a mounting screw on the inverter board and also the chassis as ground but regardless my tester reads 300 which is what it reads when there is no voltage draw.

I don't know how exactly to test the inverter itself. Is it...

The treadmill was working fine, one day the belt snapped and after checking the unit I also noticed that the display is now showing the Controller comm error. So I opened it up and the treadmill had two boards. One is a power supply board and the other is the motor controller. I noticed there was a mouse nest, so I took power supply board out, cleaned it up, replaced the big capacitor and that did nothing. Then I took apart the motor controller and cleaned that up, and when I plugged it in, it started right up. I thought I fixed it. But when the belt arrived, I installed it and tried to power...

I recently bought a used tankless hot water heater and the controller board is completely dead no power up when power is applied the display board works however the main controller board does not work correctly at all the fuse is good

I bought a used replacement controller board that also had issues that I was able to fix and now the tankless water heater works correctly now

However I would like to know if I could figure what happened to this controller board if possible

Tomorrow I will take some better pictures of both side of both boards
