Hi,
my ASUS PA246 LCD Screen is no longer powering on. I have removed the Power Supply board and what the main board for testing, but I'm only a novice in this field. I have a digital Multimeter at hand and am fairy confident in replacing components on the PCB.
What I have found out so far:
- measured ~400V on the big 450V capacitor (I am in Germany with 230V mains)
- the capacitor C871 in the middle of the board (left to the bottom end of the big one) was bulged and I replaced it.
- I could identify three fuses on the board, all are fine
- the cable connecting the two boards is carrying 5V on the first pin
- Power LED is not lit
- The power button is working (i.e. makes contact when pressed) and the cable to the PCB is fine, too.
I'm not quite sure where to start from here, but would be happy to learn about this. The screen itself is to good to go to the junkyard.
Any help greatly appreciated!
Regards,
Andreas
