Re: Where do I post about desktop motherboard repairing?
The board is MS 7528. Version 1:0
It initially had bulged caps which I replaced when the board came to me. But the board wouldn't start. The 3.3 VSB at power switch isn't there, so I replaced the chip with another one and now board would power on. However, CPU won't get heated. I checked the upstream circuitry and found RAM Vcore voltage isn't being produced. The chip that's responsible for triggering the upper and lower gates of RAM power mosfets simply don't produce the necessary gate voltage.
I'm attaching the screenshot of that chip schematic.
I'm thinking once this chip triggers the upper and lower gate of RAM power supply MOSFETS, everything will be alright.
