        i have at my HP mini the problem with no video, no beep, (corrupted update) ... therefore i ordered the CH341a USB programmer, which should delivered within the next days.
        i read the guidelines only be prepared for the rescue operation.

        the BIOS chip has following label:
        MXIC MX / 25L12873F / M2I-10G / 8B368500 / L152804
        --> Macronix MX25L12873FM2I-10G, "2.7 to 3.6 volt for read, erase, and program operations"

        questions:
        1) read IC should create a file with 8.192 KB or 16.384 KB?
        1.1) because i see user uploads with the mentioned sizes. as i understand, neo-programmer do only "read" and shows the size on the left pane. this part confusing me.
        2) after get file [1] how i create the file for the write operation?
        2.1) with the official HP update file is N21_0261.bin within sp146663.exe
        3) no need for 1.8V adapter, right?

          What's your Product serial number?

          1. The BIOS chip 25L12873F mean 128Mb => 16MB
          1.1 Full size BIOS DUMP file of your BIOS Chip is 16MB (16.384KB). The N21_0261.bin bios file update is only the BIOS region in the full BIOS dump file.
          2. You can use UEFItool and HxD to modify your BIOS dump file, then write using CH431
          3. No need 1.8V adapter.

                I asked about Product Serial number to know exactly the Product Name. Because my Mini PC is showing HP EliteDesk 800 G2 DM 65W, but I still able to flash the BIOS dump file of HP EliteDesk 800 G2 DM 35W (in the beginning of this thread) and it still work fine.

                I saw you said your BIOS update file is N21_0261.bin, the same my MiniPC, so I think you can edit your BIOS dump file by UEFItool and HxD, or using another Bios dump file of HP EliteDesk 800 G2 DM 35W in this thread.

                          maybe i have general understanding issue ... there is no generic bin file and every bin needs to be created/generated by the supporters. in others words, when i make an bin file request with my backup file, then i'll not have the mentioned issue with the blank SN?

                              i realized that the CZC62374NN has different chip typ with Winbound. at neo-programmer the ‘Currently selected: MX25L12873F [3.3V] 128 Mbits, 16 Mbytes’ was selected, which is correct for CZC6089T2G (Macronix). before i upload the file i check/opened it with UEFI tool. this means the read operation was successful and the file is valid?

                                  In short, one is working, the other one not!

                                  The file "HP EliteDesk 800 35W G2_CZC6089T2G.bin" is working fine.
                                  SN, FeatureByte, ... everything is there after apply.
                                  BIOS update working too, it's was already with the "N21_0261.bin", but only to check.
                                  update ME: with the Hirens Boot CD i was not able to perform the update (Windows PE). I"ll give a try after windows is installed.

                                  unfortunately, the other file "HP EliteDesk 800 35W G2_CZC62374NN.bin" was without success. the error is still there ... can you please check again?

                                    The only difference between the PCs is the Chip.
                                    At the none working is the chip "Winbond, 25Q128FVSQ, 1610".
                                    I used the CH341a 1.18, AsProgrammer, NeoProgrammer and Colibri > no success.
                                    Only with bin from post #15 i have very high fan speed, "HP mini 800 G2 DUMP BIOS_clear DMI.bin", CRC32 = 0xC44F0563, but w/o video.
