    Diode maybe?
    It will be better that you provide more information, like

    Take sharp picture BEFORE desoldering and AFTER cleaning
    Take pictures of bottom side to see shape of pads
    List of measurements you get before and after desoldering on components, reason why is component consider faulty.

    I dont fix this like devices, but, if you have datasheet of that chip, you can see in "tipical aplication circuit" what is this component and required properties.

      Also mention what model/motherboard version the switch will help also as this is not original version as there is no component like that there on the board. It looks like the connector that got toasted has damaged pin ?
