playstation 5 crashes and cuts off while trying to playback a dvd movie

the disc drive works perfectly because i can install games with it and it can read the movies.I can never get it to playback a movie disc. it goes to a black screen and sometimes a green screen then the console shuts down. It does it every single time i try to play a movie. The games also do the same thing If I don't start them up immediately after the console boots up. I've tried factory resets and replacing the ssd controller and the southbridge but nothing has resolved the issue

Did you try to read the error codes, if any on the console? Try using UART to read for errors. It could be a bad hdmi encoder chip at best, but it could be a sign of a bad APU / GPU short. Which model PS5 is it 1015A, 1115A, 1215A or Slim?

it's the 1115A model. The UART codes are not definitive. I'm almost certain that it's apu related. The hdmi encoder has been replaced also. wish i had the ability to reattach the apu
