Clevo P650RS-G no post with dual-channel memory configuration

I have this Clevo laptop which is not booting when two RAM modules are inserted in dual-channel configuration.
I think that channel B is defective.

Can this be caused by the CPU? I ask this because there is a very visible discoloration in the CPU die. I can even spot with the naked eye, what looks to be straight lines, like tiny cracks in this spot. I notice this when replacing the thermal paste.

The laptop works fine with the ram configuration as single.

I don't have any experience with ram detection defects. Any hints on what to check?

    Thank you.

I have many suggestions and questions :

1 - Are all the SO-DIMM memory modules installed in the system identical (the same size and brand) in order to prevent unexpected system behavior. ?

2- Did you try a single configuration on Channel B only ?

3 - Did you update the Bios rom to the Latest version ?

4 - What is the operating system installed ?
If you're using a windows 10 32 Bit , it won't see more than 4GB . Although some older laptops can boot with such real memory difference , it won't be the same in systems capable of 64GB , like yours .Similar problems can occur with other operating systems .

5 - Can you put a high resolution clear picture of the cracked die ?

6 - It may not be the die as well , since if the coolers fixating managed to crack it , it could have cracked some lines . If so , well ......

7 - Since it's not mentioned in the manual , Check in the Bios Settings , if there's "Memory advanced settings" . If there is , choose the right configuration .

A: Yes, but the laptop only boots with slots 0 and 2 filled (channel A). It keeps powering on and off on it's own every 2 minutes or so. There is LCD backlit and keyboard backlit but nothing else.

2- Did you try a single configuration on Channel B only ?
A: Yes, tried only slot 1 and only slot 3, behaving as above.

3 - Did you update the Bios rom to the Latest version ?
A: Yes, however not with the reseller or whatever it's called of this exact model, which is Obsidian (https://twitter.com/obsidianpc_com). They stopped with the computer business a long time ago. Couldn't get the bin file from them, so I took the one from clevo official site.

4 - What is the operating system installed ?

A: I have win10 64bit but this is not relevant as there is no bios post, just a black screen.

5 - Can you put a high resolution clear picture of the cracked die ?
It's not "cracked" but I do see discoloration. I'll disassemble it again later and show you.

A: I don't think its cracked by pressure or a drop. I think it was due to high temperature.

7 - Since it's not mentioned in the manual , Check in the Bios Settings , if there's "Memory advanced settings" . If there is , choose the right configuration.
A: there are some memory customization parameters like timers but none that could affect this behavior. The laptop is booting fine with slots 0 and 2 filled with 8GB memory sticks.

        So far :

Q: Yes, but the laptop only boots with slots 0 and 2 filled (channel A). It keeps powering on and off on it's own every 2 minutes or so. There is LCD backlit and keyboard backlit but nothing else.

A : I went with this line of yours "The laptop works fine with the ram configuration as single." ..It's now a different story , and needs more time and analyzing to me .

Q: I have win10 64bit but this is not relevant as there is no bios post, just a black screen.

In your case , yes since you affirmed it , but I've seen many not booting laptops when both 264 pins are filled ..Updating Bios fixed them anyway .

Q : It's not "cracked" but I do see discoloration. I'll disassemble it again later and show you.

It's now critical to see the die ..
