Hi, the OEM battery stopped working, so i bought an aftermarket replacement, but the laptop doesn't reconise it, says 0% in windows. laptop flashes orange charge light. I have tried 2 different brands and still the same. I borrowed another OEM battery and it worked fine, so i don't think its the motherboard. Struggling to find an OEM battery for it. any suggestions to try?

Re: Asus zenbook duo UX481F wont recognise aftermarket batteries.
Post or link the schematic/board view file for this logic board.
Remove all power and the battery.
Meter in diode mode.
Red meter probe, yes red to ground.
Black meter probe to the the first battery connector pin.
Note down the measurement. Repeat for each of the battery connector pins on the logic board.
Post each measurement. We are testing to see if you have a defective ESD tvs diode onboard that may block the smbus communication lines that are used to detect the presence of the battery.
Be sure there is no power to the logic board during these tests.

Re: Asus zenbook duo UX481F wont recognise aftermarket batteries.
I got.
1. Red 1.79vdc
2. Red 1.79vdc
3. Red 1.79vdc
4. White 0.79vdc
5. Yellow 0.79vdc
6. Black 0vdc
7. Black 0vdc
8. Black 0vdc
I suspect the battery is locked out as I have 0vdc between red and black on connector. But why would the aftermarket batteries have 15vdc and still not work?
Cheers
