    IBM ThinkPad PSU seems to cycle on and off twice per second

    The PSU makes a rodent repeller-like sound.

    And this was when the person that brought the laptop says that there was water on the outside of it.

    It looks OK, except for glue!

    Has Rubycon ZL and United Chemicon KMG caps.

    WTF is this?:

    (It's a piece that's connected to a connector, but suspended.)

        OK, the PSU only makes the rodent repeller-like sound when the secondary end is plugged into the laptop.
        It's now easy for people to blame the DC jack.

          Seems to be a short at the laptop input and no visible cause. It's an epic fail!
