    IBM Lenovo Thinkpad X61

    Hi Guys,
I have an IBM Lenovo Thinkpad X61, no display, not booting, Power indicator LED only. Its motherboard has a KSNOTE3 MB tag, could you share me the schematic of this MoBo? I've successfully fixed a Toshiba L300 by replacing its OE907 capacitor with 4 330uf 2.5v smd tantalum caps. My X61 MoBo has a tag of 470 84 ph d on it, can you guys tell me this caps specs? is it replaceable also with other types of caps?

    Thanks Guys! More Power!

when you manage to power it up please please back up the bios
Just cook it! It's already broken.

I've never tried backing up the bios. How is this done?

        Thanks!

disconnect the internal screen and see if it runs only on external screen

Some laptops dont have a buzzer to produce error codes. If you plug a PS2 keyboard into the laptop (if you laptop has a PS2 connector) it should flash the NUM, CAPS, SCRL lights in a pattern, if you can find an error code chart for this laptop you might be able to locate whats wrong in the laptop. Could be bad RAM or even the CPU or NB.

@AdamKollaris, thanks for the reply. RAM is ruled out, since i could use it on my other laptops. Unfortunately this laptop has no ps2 connector. could a usb-to-ps2 connector still show the led blinking indicator?
