In the spirit of this, i propose a list of compatible laptop chips.

Here's one to get you started:
Richtek RT8206 = Intersil ISL6236

Have just performed a replacement of a RT8206M with a ISL6236IRZ in a Fujitsu Lifebook AH531 which had no power. No 3.3v or 5v standby present, no shorted mosfets, no other damage to the board. LDO 5v was present, but no output. Replaced and it fired right up.

Toshiba L500 froze during bios flash

i couldn't program bios neither with willem nor cheap SPI programmer

replaced Winbound W25Q16B with W25X16 and it worked

must be fauly eeprom

Yes, faulty eeprom/flash chips are common.

dj ricoh , you can't , even if it all the same shit thru SPI , but the size in MB must be exact due to adressing
