    What kind of Thermal Paste is this?

    I bought a laptop in parts and was going to assemble it and looked on youtube and saw that it was some type of Thermal Paste on the vrams



    What kind of Thermal Paste is this on the vrams insted of thermal pads?

    i worked on one of these at the weekend, there didn't seem anything special about the old paste I removed. I used MX-2

      So what did you do with it? you possibly don't have any info on 3 components that are on the card that I'm missing on mine
      Do you have Boardviews for this model?

    This is special thermal paste to cooling vrams ect. It cannot be replaced with standard thermalpaste

        it is kind of thermal putty. if cooler dont have strong grip u must use putty , because pads will not be squeezed enough to make good contact
