    Lenovo nm-d191 adapter problem

    they broke or cut adapter cable .. we change it but notebook say like picture we try like this .. one of notebook sucsesfull but the other we cant do it ..
    can you look and say something..

    What's the power wattage of the adapter you are trying to use? This (look like 10KOhm) resistor soldered at the inner side of the power jack is not a good idea to say the least. If the goal is to "simulate" the original ID signal - you're doing it wrongly, and this whole game may end up with dead multi-controller (SIO) at some point.

    If it's 135W unplug the adapter from the wall and the machine and measure what is the resistance between the center (ID) pin and the ground at the end of the power adapter cable (square male jack)? Must be approximately 1kΩ?
