Asus X512D(A) pulsing 3.3VA_EC.

hi guys,

this one only has a boardview and I can see 3.3VA_EC pulsing (as is PU8701 3VAO+) along with the power led. I injected 3.3V on that line but nothing warms up (0.01A draw) except the EC slightly which can be normal.

I tried another bios incase it is related somehow and a 51225C (dont have rt8249C in stock, https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...35#post1637735) with pin19 isolated (and also connected) - same result.

Any ideas where to look next?

P_3VADSW_EN_10 , +5VAO and AC_BAT_SYS are stable ? measure the resistence on PSL8801 this is +3VA_EC. You need to understand if only +3VAO pulse and the system does not switch on and off repeatedly

just verified that AC_BAT_SYS is indeed pulsing so everything else is pulsing too!... it missed it before probably because I could see the power led working so my brain skipped the 19V check.. I must now investigate...
