    asus tuf506IV gaming laptop with 19 volts on battery terminal

    i'm charging an asus laptop that i just repaired and i'm measuring 19v on the battery terminal with the charging connected. Is this normal? the battery is rated at 15.4v

    Sounds high to me. Your high side battery charge mosfet may be leaking.

      i changed the charging mode in the MyASUS app and it dropped to 16.4v so maybe the 19v on the battery terminal is normal if youre charging it fully.
