Nokia Lumia 800 smartphone boot problem

    hello

I was shutting down my Lumia 800 yesterday, when I should bring it on again it just did not come on. Battery symbol showed about 50% battery when turning off. When attach the charger, one long vibrate occours and after a few seconds, a short vibrate. Nothing on screen.
It seems it wont charge, since charger is all cool. (ofcourse tried several chargers)
I cant access the phone through Zune.
When I attache the phone to my PC , WIndows start looking for D NOKIA drivers.

Could this be a battery issue?
Or will the unit needs reflashing due to a corrupt memory location?
    Please help.

Check with new battery first , flash , and see what happens

Re: Nokia Lumia 800 smartphone boot problem

Hello. The local smartphone repair centre tried a new battery and a new screen. With no difference. Personally I think it needs to be re-flashed.
I found a program "nokia care suite" which seems to be what I need. Any comments?

The PC finds an USB device and the nokia care suite tells the phone is in boot flash mode. But I cannot flash it... help!!

Somehow, it appears the phone's main firmware got corrupted. The bootloader (or image 0) tries to start up main app, but fails. Then reboot, in an endless loop.
I really need to know how to re-flash it through USB terminal.

              try this of another forum
I find by holding volume down button and power button together for about 15 seconds on letting go the phone vibrates and turns on,

              or this
•Connect the phone to your computer with a USB cable that came in the sales package with your Lumia phone. If the battery has not been used for a long time, to begin charging, you may need to connect the cable, then disconnect and reconnect it.

•Press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds, and then press to turn on your phone again.

•Your PC should detect your phone when it is connected using a USB cable, if this is not happening you can manually switch the phone into specific mode following these steps:
              1. Disconnect your phone from the USB cable.
              2. Hold down the camera button.
              3. Continue holding down the camera button and connect the USB cable between your phone and PC.
              4. Continue holding down the camera button until you see the connect-to-computer screen on your Lumia phone display.
              5. Release the camera button.
              6. The Zune software on the PC should automatically detect your phone now and charging indicator appears on the display.

Re: Nokia Lumia 800 smartphone boot problem

After reading more bout this on the internet, it appears the method to solve this issue is to use a so called "Advance Turbo Flasher" unit capable of flashing the phone by soldering a few wires directly on the phone PCB.
Will investigate the price for these hardware, if it will be worth saving one phone.
