    Dell 15 9510 - USBC 20V but no current

    Hi guys.

    Got a strange issue with a Dell 15 9510.
    No liquid damage.

A client put it in the IT room for a year, boxed up. Now they come to use it and it's not working.

I put my USBC tester to it and it switches to 20v but is not drawing any current. 0 amps.
    Nothing is shorted.

    Any help is appreciated.
    Thank you

The schematics do not appear to be available. Carefully study the power path flow from the adapter to the charger IC. There should be a cluster of mosfets in the path. Measure how far the 20V travels onto the board. Respectively, share pics and details of where the 20V stops.

Power goes prettyuch to all the right places. I press power button, and the BLUE LED flashes once and turns on. I couldn't find a short anywhere. Nothing is getting hot on thermal camera, just normal temps.

Test with another bios. Backup the original first.

Would the BIOS get killed after the machine being put away for a year ?
The laptop never had BIOS update.

Actually - you might be right.....I did notice flux on the BIOS chip. I'll try reflash with another BIOS.
