Hello guys,
I need some advice how to proceed in trying to repair my ASUS Vivo Book S400C Laptop.
It was working fine until, I accidentally let it fall due to unstable position at some outdoor Access Control Terminal Setup connected to LAN port, while in operation.
But, luckily, the Top left metal corner cover of the LCD display get a small dent. and the Laptop works again.
Until now, when I press the POWER push switch, I didn't TURNED ON , even trying with the AC Charger plugged in or on battery only.
The exact same situation already happened once before. The laptop just lost picture, like the display is off, but LEDs are working on the laptop (there is one LED around power button). After shutting down (10 s pressed power button), and trying to power on again the following is happening:
- charging LED is ON.
- when power button is pressed, LED button is ON
- fan starts to spin for a few sec and then stops, while computer remains ON
- there is a heat on CPU heatsink and there is a heat on the chipset also.
First time this problem appeared, I opened back cover and start measuring voltages. There were voltages present on all big inductor and capacitors, with the AC charger plugged in or with battery power only.
But No display on the LCD.I have tried to exchange the RAM module with known good working one, but that was not the cause
I remove the HDD and puts back on with the screws remains outside, and PRESS POWER switch and It TURNS ON with display and the WIN!10 OS works fine.
The laptop worked fine for a few times and now the exact same problem happened again.
.
I suspect that problem is some loose joint near HDD or somewhere, but not really sure how to fix that.
Please advice or suggest to resolve this issue. Regards
