    HP 15-ef2126wm DAOP 5 JMB6 MOTHERBOARD

Need help, I took out the motherboard, because nothing is spinning, no fan, no screen, no usb. I'm trying to fix it... I've watched several tutorials but I'm wondering how to start checking. This is my daughter-in-law's laptop, she said, if you can, great, if not, scrap it. So I'll take my chance. I ask for help before I pose an unresolved problem. Thank you very much for the advice. Oupss, I forget, when I push the start button del is lighted about 1 sec. and shut off. I can do this again and no change.

    Hello,

What is the background of the laptop ? How did it fail?
Best start is to check for short to ground on every coil of the mainboard.

My daughter-in-law took it to the store for repair because the computer shut down while she was doing some work. The repairman told him it was a problem with the battery and fixed it. Shortly after (a few weeks) the problem came back while she was at the computer. Back at the workshop, after some checking he thinks it's the motherboard, but my daughter-in-law doesn't trust that he was telling the truth. She asked me if I wanted to try to fix it in my electronics class. 1 Caps near connector 2Mohms - 3 caps near cpu 14, 7, 7 ohms- 2 caps near ram .7 and 600 ohms- Last cap at the other end of card 630 ohm. Thanks a lot to help me.

Oops, I wrote caps but it's coil. My English is a bit basic, sorry. All the small capacitors to the left of the picture rings with the gnd. This is also the coil that has .7 ohms of resistance.
