Hi..i have a problem on my customer toshiba Satellite L840 freeze at loading windows..already change hard drive, ram .. but still same problem.. also i have flash the bios..





try install windows 8, but also freeze at loading windows..

Southbridge chip, replace it.

I dont think this laptop has a SB. It has PCH I think. Something like HM55 or HM65.
Do you have a GPU or only CPU and PCH?

Forget to mention, already changed HM76..still same problem

What you mean? Change bios battery..? Already change...cpu also

Does that tohiba has proadlizer capacitor? If does change it...If doesn`t check all capacitors in cpu vrm section...

check voltage + 5vs, may be dropped when loading windows

And replace these 3 bigs blacks caps.
Did you try to boot from Ubuntu?

i don't have cap 560..only have 330..posible to replace 560?

Just put one more. Or test them out if they are really 560.

Try to replace this capacitors...if not you can add one ads proposed but just for testing purposes...than if it works change them properly...

I solved similar problem with another model toshiba by changing the hdd socket
