Dear expert community,
I need your help with identifying some components on a Toshiba Satellite C855 Hannstar-e89382 motherboard, since there are no element markings on this board. The schematics are included.
I don't know the history of this laptop, but by the looks of it, I would say it was run over by a train (cracked LCD, bent LCD hinges, bent keyboard, broken plastic casing, liquid damaged keyboard,...)
Since the LCD is broken, I would like to test this board with external LCD monitor via VGA or HDMI port, but as lucky as I am, this board is missing some components(components later recovered from the casing) near the mentioned ports, every other areas of the motherboard look undamaged.
1. six legged IC near the VGA port (picture #1)
IC was later found with bent legs and soldered back to it's place (not sure if it's working). Only markings on it are DP.
Measurements:
None of the six pads is connected to GND
PIN #1 3.35V
PIN #2 3.35V (connected to pin #5)
PIN #3 is connected to VGA port pin #15 DDCCLK_1 (5.13V when no external monitor is connected and 4.68V with monitor connected)
PIN #4 is connected to VGA port pin #12 DDCDAT 1 (5.13V when no external monitor is connected and 4.68V with monitor connected)
PIN #5 3.35V (connected to pin #2)
PIN #6 3.35V
When comparing this to the schematics I cant seem to find 6pin IC connected to DDCCLK_1 and DDCDAT 1, only 16pin IC U36 CM2009-02QR (picture #2).
2. 2x unmarked components near the HDMI port
inside red circle on picture #3, they look the same as the two components on the left.
Components were later recovered inside the casing, picture #4, but look damaged and would like to replace them from some scrap board. They look like some kind of inductors.
The current consumption of this board is 0.01-0.65-0.93-0.82A when turned on, with B960 CPU and 1x 2GB PC3-12800 DDR3 RAM. After a minute the board turns itself of.
I have quite a few scrap boards and would scavage them for the missing components if I knew the markings.
Thank you in advance.
