Need some guidance please - APACHE GE60 2PC

Ok I had a laptop come in with the owner saying they attempted a flash and it failed causing no display etc

On opening it i found what appeared to be liquid residue - I have cleaned the board now and want to attempt a bios repair just in case that is indeed the root cause.

I have in my possession :

    Raspberry PI 3
    Programming jigs for most formats

The laptop is an apache GE60 2PC

    Mainboard ID is = MS-16GF1 VER 1.1

    Original BIOS chip markings :

    Q64-104HIP
    133N37A2
    1406TDA

Can someone guide m in how to flash this chip please?

What file do I need and where to get it
What program to use via my PI to flash it

    Cheers

        Cheers diif,

So from reading multiple sources I managed to create a jig for the bios chip and reflashed the chip using FlashRom on my PI

Low and behold system is working

          OK issue

Keyboard keys are all scrambled.. Works fine via external keyboard

          Wrong Bios revision?

            Nice work.
Is it every key that is scrambled or just some ? Are they swapped about or do you get double letters ?

They are swapped about - some keys do nothing and others do what they are not supposed to do -

For EG F12 is the down key
              J is enter

              etc

                OK update

I flashed the other BIOS and the keyboard came to life - BUT - the system would no longer recognize any hard disks..

So reflashed the other BIOS and again keyboard issue

Plugged in a USB keyboard and went through installing windows so I could flash BIOS and EC through windows save me keep pulling the chip off the mainboard... Once windows had installed the keyboard worked fine - So guessed that windows had now took over with drivers and it must be the BIOS or EC being an issue....

So decided to try the EC first and needed to reboot into the BIOS to find which revision I needed - Well the keyboard is working fine without doing anything else .. ODD!

Anyway system is all working great now - Cheers for any help given
