    Saturated Business of Laptop Repair

I think laptop repair was a nice business before 2017.
Now I see big repair companies that have repair businesses in capital cities.
They also teach laptop repair to lots of young technicians.
They offer these young technicians to open new repair shops in smaller cities.
Then, they provide ICs and chips for these young repair shops.
In this way, they make profit, but cities get saturated by laptop repair shops, specifically in small cities.
So a particular repair shop can not make enough profit.
This is the main problem in this business.
In other hand, most clients bring laptops which do not worth repairing because the laptop is too old or the damaged board area is too wide.
Other computer businesses are saturated too and cannot be included in a laptop repair shop.
Now the question is: How do I make profit in a laptop repair shop in a saturated city? or Is it better to quit the business?

Laptop repair is a valid business only if you have a collector or a service brand to permit having the laptops to repair every day.
in my country, for an independent technician is better to work with the stores that provide the laptops instead of handling its own laboratory open to the public.
This also for high taxes and high operating costs.
Furthermore, the new laptops , entry level and medium level, not are always serviceable cheap and then the client does not accept the repair and buy a new laptop.
Being a good technician helps, but is the work that is missing.

A solution could be to include various kinds of boards in the repair shop.
such as tablet, DVR, graphics adapter, XBox, or car boards.
But clients are mostly not interested in these boards to get repaired.
In addition, repairing these boards needs extraction of unknown schematics of lots of brands. Also, main chips on these boards are not available in the market.
what is the best new device to be included for repair in a laptop repair shop?

In a big city, a technician can focus on a particular board and get success.
But in a small city where there are not much clients for a particular board, a technician has to work on multiple kinds of boards.
Multiple kinds of boards require multiple kinds of ICs, schematics, and parts. This makes the job difficult for the technician. That is why the technician seems weak in board repair.
It seems that board repair is a job dedicated to capital cities. Small cities have to outsource their board repairs to near capital cities.
I would be glad to hear if anyone has a success story in a small city.
It will help me a lot because I live in a small city.

In 15 years, I have worked at least 10 laptops every week. Normally, to lower costs, I take the components from non-repairable motherboards. For some type of bga as 216-0752001 I prefer to buy a new chip if I find it from serious seller otherwise I don't make the repair (I don't want problems with owner)
The problems aren't with old laptops prior 2012 but with the new motherboards.
For example take an hp motherboard model Y11A or similar, where all is integrated in same bga (cpu, gpu, pch, etc) there isn't any convenience to spend 100 / 150 euro to replace it. Often, I purchase non-repairable motherboards only to get the components in the future.
I don't know as the postal service works in your country but usually on ebay I find most of the components and spare parts.
