    Hp cq61 doesn't turn on (+vgacore)

I am not too expert on laptop motherboards but i have the knowledge to handle them.
i have this laptop which doesn't turn on. After testing i found that Vin is shorted
and following a schematic diagram i noticed that the cause is +VGACORE.
I removed L5 (CPU coil) which is connected to +VGACORE and short disappeared.
i used BGA machine to reheat BGA ic but short is still there.

is it possible by reheating BGA the short remains or do i missed something.

    Thanks

By "Vin" you mean the +VIN line?
If it's true, it means that you have a shorted high-side MOSFET on the +VGACORE regulator.
It would help to know which motherboard you have inside the computer
Assuming Quanta OP6, I'm talking about PQ58 shorted between source and drain.
Also if the GPU itself is shorted, reheating it will not make it work. A GPU power line will look like a short when measured on a multimeter, ie. around 10 ohms, but that's fine. A shorted GPU will usually show a resistance lower than 2 ohms.

Also I'm not sure what does "L5 (CPU coil)" refer to.
