macbook air no backlight 820-00165, help please, bad gpu or fixable?

    BKL_PWM AND EDP_BKLT_PWM are 0.35V ❌ ❌ (which is not good?)
R7704 AND C7704 are not shorted out to ground.

    BKL_EN is +3V ✅ 🆗
    VIN is +5V ✅ 🆗
    PPVOUT_SW_LCDBKLT_FB +8V ✅ 🆗
    SMC_LID is present +3V ✅ 🆗

i put SMC_LID volts to BKL_PWM and still no backlight. I jumped wire from SMC_LID TO BKL_PWM and still no backlight
Please help, is it LCD or GPU U0500 ?

Looks like the screen or the LED driver (U7701) gone bad, any signs of liquid damage, you may want to check if screen connector is clean and no cracks in soldering, sometimes it's all it takes - clean and re-solder connector

U7701 IS Doubtfull. Try a mild reflow of this IC with lot of flux.

EDP_BKLT_PWM is 0v in air 1466. PPVIN_S0SW_LCDBKLT is also 0v. No input to backlit ic. No shorting near U7701. Slightly reflod the PCH section of CPU. Reprogramed Bios. Still dim display. Any help ?

Is it Fixable? Lenovo Legion 5 15ACH6H
                    by vexarvf1s
                    Hi Everyone,

                    I got in a Lenovo Legion 5 15ACH6H.
It was a nice gaming laptop with a Ryzen 7 5800H and RTX3060M, however; a screw came loose and shorted things out.
PSU is good. 20V to board. No power on any power rails. Power rails are not shorted to ground.
An unknown gate at location UI130 is blown up and I do not know what it is to replace it.
Caps near PL6202, PQ3002, PU7901 are all blown. If anyone can help me with the correct values to theses capacitors it would be very helpful.

                    by Rubenlily

I don't have much info. Seller doesn't share much but says it hasn't been hit or dropped and that it just appeared by itself.

Is it fixable and how much should I pay to buy it in this condition?...

Intermittent Samsung H4000 TV A/V problem. Failing component, or "reset" fixable?
                    by ja1870
As probably no symptom is unknown to those around here, would appreciate any comments.

Trying to troubleshoot an intermittent condition for a non-technical senior - remotely.

When I can get over there, will try a factory reset, but suppose it could be a symptom of a failing cap or other component - and prefer to be forewarned either way, if possible.

                    LG 49LB5550-UY Fixable??

Hello all, brand new to this forum and all this tech repair. I've always been interested in tech and learning more than than average person and well, I guess this is my chance!

                    - Forgive me as I will likely not be using the proper terms throughout this post, again, I am a newbie to all this!

I noticed a few "LED Bulbs" falling out of place behind my TVs screen a few weeks ago. After some research I find how to quickly glue them back into place. I finished the work and when putting my TV back together I accidentally cracked the very corner of the display ....

Asus Motherboard with melted CPU+ATX connector - fixable?
                    by bios_
                    Hello!

I have received a defective Asus Z9PE-D8WS board from someone.
It supports 2 LGA2011 CPUs. One of the 2 CPU EPS power connectors has a melted +12V pin and the ATX connector (24 pin connector) has one melted and burned +3.3V pin.

                    He claims it doesn't post.
What could have caused this? Especially the burned 3.3V?

Could I just solder on new connectors and try to boot it up? How should I go about trying to fix this? I've checked for direct shorts but couldn't identify any.

                    Any help is appreciated
