how long and high bake new chips

Hello.
I got set of new chips and dont want them to "puff" like some others, so how long and how high to bake new chips to be sure it dont popcorn of othe funny stuff

i read that it must be baked for 4 hours in 120c which is quite long for me

4 hours is not enough with high humidity. I do at least 6 hours at 125°C (both the board and the chip). The required time will depend on the humidity level, how long it's been exposed to humidity and the package of the chip. The longer the better… If you popcorn a chip then you now you'll have to bake for at least a couple of hours more.

i bake two chips for 2 hours and solder without problem, but next time i try to bake it more
