Hi all,
long time lurker here. Got an Surface3 Tablet into the workshop with missing/wrong serial number. instead of a 12Digets for the Serial as on the basecover, the Serial inside the Mainboard is saved as "OEM". I cannot get any Surface Software running since the installation always checks for an correct Model-code/Serial.
Is there any software that can change the Serial (got something similiar for Lenovo/Fujitsu/Dell but missing the one for surfaces).
Under normal circumstances Dumping the EEPROM with an external device (pi3) would not be a problem but since the Surface is very fragile in the opening process - getting in there is a there is something I would like to avoid...
I tried different Toolsets i found related to the Surface (Asset-Tool, FirmwarUtility) with no results.
I will try to get infos with RW utility - maybe UEFI-Tool...
Any help or advice is realy appreciated. Thx for the time ready my post...
