Dell 5502 0wnvyk intel 11th gen no power

Hi guys

With USB c plugged in 19v 0.02 amps only.
Vsys is around 16v, 5v and 3v present on CPU regulator ic isl95869, pch supply ic rt6543a, mxic bios ic, and 3v on power switch. But on pressing power button there is no response. Also battery not charging, no voltage on battery.

No 1.8v / 1.0v PCH rt6543 en is pulled 10ohm to gnd when there is pwr
no CPU vcore

Any ideas ?

NO POWER when checking resistance.

Remove all power / NO battery -> meter in resistance mode (lowest scale).

Now, proceed to check the resistance to ground with meter probe on PCH rt6543 en and other meter probe to GROUND.

What is the reading ?

Are there other markings on your logic board ? Unable to find any schematics for this model in my (paid) database of schematics / BV files.

Can you post pics of the logic board to show all white silk screen markings or labels ?

The enable pin is fine with such a high resistance. There is no short here.

Repeat the same test on the cpu vcore rail using the lowest resistance scale on your meter.

Post the measurement and scale used on your meter.

Cpu rail is a low voltage and is expected to be a low resistance as well.

The enable pin is fine with such a high resistance. There is no short here.

Anybody has schematic for isl 95869

One of us cap is around 4 ohm to ground

Review the attached, the datasheet may be similar to your device. Post your update.

First tnks for pointing that out but I had checked that datashet before I posted here
The capacitor is connected to the 5th pin of the IC

On the 95859 datasheet each side has 10 pins
Pin 6 to 10 deal with current sensing, the processor itself has resistance for 40 to 140 ohms, so for 95869 it is very likely the 5th does anything but related to current sensing

Actually there is full data sheet for this IC but hidden behind a wall. To download it Renessas has to approve your purpose, else you wouldn't get the download link

Is it better if I start new thread in the schematic request to ask for this ic pinout ?

Can you share all silk screen markings on your logic board ? Perhaps there is a schematic floating out there.

We run a hardware design company and have close ties with Intersil but they are quite strict on releasing such documents. We attempted to source the ISL9240 details when the component was not available for the macbook repairs. Now, of course, everyone in the street corner has the parts available in Asia. It is a double-standard. NDA (non-disclosure) documents mean zero to offshore companies.

there isnt any meaningful information behind stickers
