I have a couple of L480 with issues if anyone can help please.

First one has a corrupted BIOS and would not boot. I flashed a working file from a different L480 and it boots but goes off after 10sec.

Second L480 has "0188: Invalid RFID Serialization Information Area" on boot.

Original BIOS dumps attached (these had passwords but I have now removed them).

    Both are 20LT-S4SP00. board NM-B461

    SN (bad flash): PF1EPTCK
    SN2 (RFID error): PF1H1V7H

    Thanks

This fixed the first one (PF1EPTCK), thank you.

0188 RFID Serialization error still present on the other one. I will have a play around with u1 tool as suggested by SMDFlea on another thread.

Fixed with U1 tool. The important step seems to be initialising the EEPROM. First I tried just deleting/rewriting some of the data individually which didn't work.

Step 1: Menu 2, Menu 2, take note of B0 and C0 serial number. These are also on the barcode labels on the motherboard.
Step 2: Menu 5, Menu 2, take note of EEPROM data. I'm not sure how much of this is relevant.

Step 3: Menu 5, Menu 1, initialise EEPROM
        Step 4: Menu 2, Menu 1, re-add B0 and C0 serial.
        Step 5: Menu 4, Menu 2, re-add Brand Name
Step 6: Menu 3, assign UUID.

BIOS of my L480 was updated, laptop was fully charged and adpater was connected. Now my L480 is dead, no picture at all and I get

                    Error code : 0285
Description : TCG-compliant functionality-related error (might be the TPM initialization failure)
                    Model : L480 (type 20LS, 20LT)
                    Serial : PF117136

I am thinking to reflash, downloaded the BIOS Update (Bootable CD) r0quj32wd.iso, wrote it to USB drive (FAT32). Tried several options to initiate flashing from USB but none of them worked (Fn + R while powering on).

Any help would be really appreciated.

                      Hi!
Instead of burning the image, try to download the executable. It has an extract option, and in the extracted folder you get instructions how to make a flashing USB drive.
This might sound controversial, but generally I'd advise against BIOS updates if everything works just fine.

My laptop is "bricked", there is no picture on LCD nor on HDMi device -- I can not event turn off the secure boot. Any further instructions how to reflash ?

Lenovo instructions about creating bootable USB were not helpful to me...

If the USB flash doesn't work I'm afraid your only option is desoldering the chip(s) from the board and manually writing the BIOS to them.

                            Hello!

TGC comes from Trusted Computing Group the developers of TPM.
I think the firmware in the TPM chip was not completely updated and that's causing your error...
So first try to update the TPM firmware from a Windows, booted from USB stick.
You can download the firmware update utility from here: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/dow...20m3-20m4-81cg
If that's not working only swapping/changing the TPM chip will help you.
                            This is my opinion...Good Luck

Hello, good afternoon. I need help with the .bin BIOS file for a Lenovo L480. The chip is a Winbond 25Q128JVSQ and the motherboard model is El480/El580 NM-B461. The issue is that only the power button LED lights up and the keyboard does not display any image.
