    a1342 820-2567-A bios lock removal

    Greeting folks...

Well, in true old fart fashion, it seems I have a client who put a boot lock (padlock on the initial boot screen) on his ancient Macbook. I've done the forum search & Google Ranger attack & have found nothing with regard to working/clean bios to redo the job.

The original offloaded bios is attached. Hopefully, one of you code-reading/writing Gods can figure this one out for me.

Thank you so much in advance. I just know there are many of you folks that just love 15 year old tech. (sarcasm, It drives me nuts having to re-learn everything. I swear I'm losing childhood memories...)

    try this..

Change the RAM memory configuration (add or remove a RAM memory) and reset the PRAM three times in a row...

        Hey peste,

Did as you recommended & that's a no-go at this station.

I'm kinda open to absurd sollutions at this point...

see if you still have a bios chip on the board and post the content here

            Peste

I have the original bios uploaded on my original post. I'll attach here again in case that didn't work.

            Thanks again for your help

                    Hey folks

I never got another response to this post that physically worked, so I went through another avenue & got this one that is completely clear and free.

THE ONLY THING IS - YOU MUST CHANGE YOUR SERIAL NUMBER using your favorite hax editor.

I know some other folks out there have been looking for this bios in particular.

It is literally for the A1342, 820-2567-A (notice the "A" in there). This, obviously, won't work on the same year Pro & to my knowledgeDoesn't work for the 820-2567 (no "A").

                    I hope this helps somebody.
