Hello everyone, I have a Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14ITL6, the serial number PF39T7XF
It was updating the firmware via Windows update, and there was a power
outage in my area due to a fuse blowing. And my battery was almost depleted
because I had not used the laptop in a while. Long story short, it's all messed
up and keeps boot looping. I have got the bios. Fd from the bios available on
the website was renamed with ten different names seen on the forums, and it
also had a combination of other names along with fd and bin extensions. Still,
nothing seems to work fn-+r appears to make the charging LED blink orange.
Still, nothing happens, and neither does the USB stick light up. It doesn't seem
to be reading. Now I know I can use ch341a programmer and get done with it
Still, I am unfamiliar with backing the old bios and flashing new ones. Still, this
model seems to have two chips for bios, one eight mb and one 16mb. Also,l
read something related to intel ME region but couldn't figure out how all that
must be done. I request any help possible. I really could use some help.

make a copy to both bios chips before writing or reading.. so as not to lose the DMI information..

I am aware on how to read and backup original bios but unsure how to paste DMI information onto the new bios. Thank you

use the HxD program (you can find it for free)...enter both bios in the program (of the laptop, and the virgin one from the website), select the interval from post #14, where the DMI interval is passed and (COPY-PASTE) from the bios- the laptop, in virgin bios... and that's it..

I deleted the old onbard RAM 4 chipc 1Mb D9WWP . But I have no the same chips and install 4x1Gb Samsung.
The laptop turned on and I saw on the screen 4Gb. BUT!!! The laptop does not see external memory!
Schematic with vershion 0.1 dont work. changing straps ID 8, 9, 10 11 no changes with external memory.
8Gb on board with 4x2b Micron also dont work.

Can Y help me wright the BIOS with no onboard RAM?
Or write the BIOS wiht 4 chips D9ZFW and 8Gb onboard RAM ?

The main issue is that the BIOS password is locked. I have downloaded the BIOS dump (two 8 MB files) and need to reset the password. What steps should I take to do this? Can I use the dump to reset the password, and which tools would you recommend for this?

Are you sure both chips are the same size. Look at the part number on top of each chip. Your UB3 (16MB) is the bios region and looks ok. Your UB1 (16MB) is 2 different 8MB backups written twice, so you or someone else has made a mistake, the chip is or should be 8MB.

Hi please help to transfer the dmi to new bios, I am attaching the old broken bios it has both 8mb and 16mb
Serial Number is PF39T7XF
Also if you can give me instructions how do i flash both bios is there a specific order that i need to follow, wherein i need to flash 16mb first and then the 8mb or it does not matter? As well as do i need to erase the chip before i flash the new bios how does that work?

you have everything you need at post #14.....It doesn't matter the order in which you write the chips.

use the HxD program (you can find it for free) enter both bios into the program (e.g. the 16MB one of your laptop and the 16MB one from post 14) because this chip contains the DMI, which you need to transfer, copy the DMI interval from post #14 and (copy -paste) from your bios into the bios from post #14 which is virgin... that's all.. write the 8MB one directly from post #14..

I do not understand how the copy and paste works in the HxD program, I tried it yesterday but how do I make sure that the new bios has all of the dmi that it needs how do I compare, because I tried to find serial number even on my old bios dump but I could not find it, the rest of that is clear
