At 1st boot press F10 and RESET BIOS to factory defaults, save, restart and password will go on. After that enter in to bios setup and in Main tab you have "set machine unique data" and write there what it's written on the label inside the cover.
Or use hp bcu tool

After that the BIOS lock is still on.
Not sure if I did anything wrong.
Thanks again for the help.

It worked. The BIOS password is removed but I have the MPM countdown. I have updated the device information through "Set Machine Unique Data" in the BIOS but still have the MPM enabled.
I'll wait to see if it goes away after the countdown reaches 1.
I will update the thread once the countdown reaches 1 or whenever, the MPM goes away.
I appreciate the help.
Cheers!

use this HP BCU TOOL ( BIOS Configuration Utility) to fill the DMI info
For newbies like me, I found this how to video that was very helpful in using the HP BCU tool hp DMI tool || easy way to update serial no || manufacturing mode off (youtube.com)
It does a walkthrough, original language is not English but provides texts in the video of the important steps so I was able to follow without understanding the language.
Also, I run into an issue on boot with a MPM error "Cirrus Discrete Amp Calibration Data" Missing or invalid. I found the solution in another thread for HP EliteBook 840 G9 below:
https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...0-g9-error-mpm
I just copied the code provided in post # 5 of that thread and it worked for the ZBook Firefly 14 inch G9.
There is additional information on the same topic in the the thread below with another way of solving the Cirrus Discrete Amp Error

Thanks, again for all the help.
Cheers!

If It Was A Password Issue In Past Then Press F10 And RESET BIOS to Factory Defaults,Go To Security Tab Reset Security Setting Save And Flash Your Old Locked Bios Again
Or Simply Use HP BCU TOOL to Fill DMI

It is a sample unit without MPM error or password issue, only the stock BIOS/ME is outdated. I cannot update official BIOS but i can update the ME Region, to do that i need first a unlocked MPM. The BCU tool is not functional with error 6 access denied.
I saw you helped redoxy removed his bios pwd, and he got a MPM countdown. So i think maybe you can help me modify the dump to unlock the countdown. In winnex i cannot find the UUID in the bios dump, only SN/Feature Byte/Build ID etc are available.....

Unfortunately Security Settings can't be restored to defaults - current Admin password request is popping up. So my laptop boots up with red warning message 'System boots up in Manufacturing Programm Mode..... . Can't get rid of it. BCU tool doesn't allow change any vallues due to Admin password. It's still there. Provided patched BIOS allows to bypass BIOS password an access BIOS but it's not removing it . Could you help with it please?Attached Files
