        Hello
I have a problem with the BIOS in my laptop. I upload a 32MB (UC2) file from this forum and the laptop always starts correctly the first time.
I enter the ServiceTag, start it and it's OK. But every time after exiting Manufacturing MODE (ALT-F) the laptop stops starting and responding to the power button.
The file from the UC6 system remains the same, because I couldn't find another working one.
After uploading the same file to UC2 again the situation repeats itself, it always stops working after ALT-F.
I suspect that I need to upload either both UC2 files to UC6 clean or just UC6. Please help - I probably need both files.
I'm attaching the ones downloaded from the laptop.

post merged...next time look for a thread with the name and model, motherboard model of the laptop, and post there, if you can't find it, then make a new thread..

                    Hiya,

I've got a dell Latitude 5440 with the following message on boot.

Dell Security Manager - Latitude 5440

This computer system, #1GKPL24-8FC8, is protected by a password authentication system. You cannot access the data on this computer without the correct password. Please type the system or administrator password.

Any ideas? I tried the notes and tried to reset via https://beta.bios-pw.org/ and didn't get the right code.

                    Any help really appreciated

Thread merged. We can`t help you unless you post your bios backups, for that you will need an SPI programmer. https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...rces-and-tools
