Why I can't use the soic clamp?
" It is possible to use clips on SOIC-8 ICs to avoid desoldering, however it is *very unreliable* and will often lead to an empty or corrupt dump. Avoid whenever possible.
If you insist on using a clip, then make sure the programmer uses an additional buffer and line driver for SPI.The T48 and T56 has it built-in.
It is recommended to desolder the chip and use an adapter board or socket."Last edited by volinakis; 08-02-2024, 03:46 AM.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Since you write back bios backup you made with clamps and laptop doesn't start this should tell you that your bios backup is corrupted! And yet you ask "Why i can't use the soic clamp?" !!!

[ HOW TO USE THE PATCH ]
STEP 1: Flash and replace current BIOS with the generated patch file
STEP 2: Boot the machine
STEP 3: Press ENTER/F1/etc. to enter BIOS settings
STEP 4: Enter any character when asked for Supervisor Password
STEP 5: Press enter when it shows Hardware ID
STEP 6: Press space bar 2x when asked
STEP 7: Turn off machine
STEP 8: Restore original BIOS
STEP 9: Reset BIOS settings to factory default
at step 8 use T495_new.bin Because your backup is corrupted I'm not sure your DMI is ok, if you get message that serial, MTM, etc. is missing use Lenovo Maintenance Utility to restore original serial, MTM.Attached Files----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I not want to disconnect the clamp because if I have to flash another firmware I not want to make again 10000 try to fit it.
