Looking For Working BIOS of LENOVO LEGION 5 15ITH6

    LENOVO LEGION 5 15ITH6
    S/N PF2SAXHJ
    MTM 82JK0001CC

The laptop won't boot. It restarts over and over again, because a hidden BIOS setting - BLCK, was changed from 100 to more than 120+.
    Need a working bios

Attached files are original dump files from two separate chips on the laptop, and also the BIOS installation file from Lenovo. Wish it helps.

    Thanks!

Thank you so much, it works!!

Following is what i went through using the provided Bios files to fix the laptop, if anyone is interested in the process.

Background: I had no experience on flashing bios using programmer at all.
      Programmer: CH341A
      Flasher Application: NeoProgrammer

      Two Bios Chips.
      16MByte Bios Chip: XMC - XM25QH128AHIG
      8MByte Bios Chip: WINBOND - 25R64JVSIQ

Somehow I could not find any application which can detect the XMC chip. However, I selected a random model name with configuration 128 Mbits/16 MByte/256 Page, specifically, W25Q128xV from NeoProgrammer application, and flashed the chip successfully.

Initially, I failed to flash both two bios chips no matter what flash app I use, these applications can both write and verify at the same time, but they always fail for verification. Then I disabled the verification process during flashing, but still failed to write the bios file to both chips properly.
Fortunately, I managed to flash the bios chips by erasing the bios chips completely first before trying to write&verify.

Greetings and thank you for your help here. I have learned so much.
I have two same-model Laptops that both seem to have identical issues. One stalled mid-update. The other is possible, but no one had eyes on it.

Here are my original dumps. I would very much appreciate hearing your wisdom and experience on this topic, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you...
This is my first other-than-intro post. Please let me know if you need more information.

                LAPTOP 1
                Legion 5 15ITH6H
                S/N PF3BGVV8
                MTM 82JH008LUS
                JVHFC1
                Motherboard:NM-D711 Rev 2.0

                LAPTOP 2
                Legion 5 15ITH6H
                S/N PF3B7WTN
                MTM 82JH008LUS
                JVHFC1
                Motherboard:NM-D711 Rev 2.0

Do you know: Do I need to Tiny Hex any area other than the D2000-D3FFF range?

                Extra info:
We have a third Laptop that is healthy. I believe the bios is older...57ww?

When trying to turn on the sick laptops, the laptop led's breathe and fans spin on low. Sometimes just plugging in the power cord turns on the power.
The Intel UHD Graphics is missing on both sick Laptops. (Suspicious) Their Driver is from 2023. But on the healthy laptop it is dated June 2022

Placed new CMOS Battery in LAPTOP 1 as it was 2.7v. Laptop 2 was fine.

I have tried two bios from the forums labeled 15ITH6H. Replacing upgraded RAM with the original, only one BIN file semi-worked (h1cn58ww) to boot into Windows (one time on each computer), but I STILL could not enter bios (F2)
and could not select bios from the boot menu (F12), receiving a DOS-looking "can't do that message" and it would continue on to load to windows... until it didn't again.

BUT I didn't know about DMI then. I do now. I used Tiny Hex to copy the DMI from the originals to the new. HOWEVER, I am unsure if I needed to use the HEX tool for an area other than the D2000-D3FFF range. That was the only area I copied and pasted.
I made the macro and your instructions regarding Tiny Hex were perfect.

I feel like I am missing something, as if entering bios is forbidden or timed out.
I don't believe they are password-protected for entering bios.

Thank you for your help and sorry for the verbose post.

Greetings. Is anyone available who could help me with a bios for Laptop 1 in the previous post? Laptop 2 is at least working as long as he does a full shut down every time. But Laptop 1 is a no-go right now. I am not sure if I am adding DMI correctly. I will repost the above information for Laptop 1. I had limited success with the Bios at: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...6h#post3319736 post 2

Okay! Belay that request! Thank you to all who came before me and shared their experiences. We finally have it up and running. Woohoo!
I somehow mismatched different 16MB and 8MB bios files.
FIX for our Lenovo Legion 5 15ITH6H: I downloaded files from Post #2 at https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...36#post3319736:
                  • h1cn58ww.8MB.rar
                  • h1cn58ww.16MB.rar
Used Tiny Hex Macro on the 16MB.rar to copy the original DMI information from the original bios into the new bios, using the instructions found here: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...d-macro-script I am attaching the DMI Macro as CopyDMI.zip. As indicated in the referenced post the macro was built to transfer DMI found in the old 16MB bios at DMI D2000 - D3FFF to the same location in the new bios using the method at described in this link.

Flashed the 8MB and DMI-Updated 16MB files to both chips using CH314 and Neoprogramer.

Used F2 for bios entry and saw all original system information. F10 to save and it booted right up. After a week+, I am grateful... as is my student!

*We have not solved the missing integrated graphics (hidden and disconnected), but we will celebrate this success tonight!

                  Thanks again, BadCaps community!

Cool! Since we own multiple of the same laptop, I thought it just might come in handy for the future! Thank you for the excellent instructions!
