Hi, I recently bought a HP Elitebook 640 G10, and it has a locked bios, i have little to no experience with hp, so i was wondering if there is a way to remove the password? BCU has insufficcient permissions, cant enable MPM mode, any external usb boot tools are stopped at run. i saw people posting dumps of their main and ec bin files here, but i dont know how to get them, software? or extraction? i tried running different bin unlock tools on the bin included in the driver update and installing it, without success, resetting cmos battery didnt do anything either. Serial number is 5CD40757G0. Product is 736H7AV.

Now please help me with EC file from this post, same problem, data identity recovery and not entering in MPM mode:

Thanks for the tip, I had the same problem, I just used version 1.02.03 without modifying the EC and then it was possible to deactivate the adm password and completely resolve the bios password.

Hello everyone, I introduce myself as it is the first post that I publish in this forum.
My name is Simon and I recently bought a used HP Elitebook 640 G10.
With my regret, when I was about to install Ubuntu on the pc going in bios I found there is a password that I did not have from the buyer I bought the pc
Can you help me to remove the password for bios of this PC?

                                  Product number - 736J5WV

in other messages I saw how many attach a file . bin, how can I extract it from my pc?

                                  Thanks.
                                  Simon
