HP Envy 13-BA1565na BIOS for potential fix!

Bit of a weird one here...I have this HP Envy which has an odd fault. Basically the power button doesn't turn the device on. However, immediately after a BIOS reset, it will turn on from battery once, and it'll continue to tun on from mains quite happily, first time every time for a few hours (but will not power on from battery at all). After a few hours, the button will become increasingly unresponsive again even with mains connected. I've replaced the battery, even though there were no signs of a battery problem, and the issue remains. From reading another post on here, the experts were suggesting a BIOS issue (which sort of makes sense as the BIOS reset allows the button to work fine for a period) but I have no idea what could have gone wrong to cause that fault. Incidentally, I did udpate the BIOS as part of the diagnosis, and that didn't make any difference.

I've attached the BIOS dump here...the model is 13-ba1565na, serial no CND1097DOP. Motherboard is a LA-J475P Rev 1.0.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thank you - problem remains with the original battery but seems to work at the moment on the replacement battery. It's very weird...will continue testing and post back in case anyone else encounters the same issue.

Fault is still present...as soon as you leave the laptop for more than half an hour, the laptop fails to power on from battery. Sometimes after 20 or so button presses it will come on, and then once powered off again, it will power on again reliably for a few minutes. Then back to the same pattern. I'm fairly certain it's not a physical button thing because like I say, once it's been on, it turns on first time every time...only when left for a while does the problem return. Could this be an issue with the EC BIOS rather than the main BIOS?
