    Flashing HP Elitebook x360 1030 g2 with EZP2023+

    Hi,

    The model is HP Elitebook x360 1030 g2
    S/N is 5CG7342PY8
    6043B0211511 Rev A01 could be the mothercard model

    I have succeeded removing the Winband W25Q128JV from the MotherCard => should I also remove W25Q64JV ?
    When I am reading the 128 with EZP2023+ it's telling me it's ATMEL 93_EEPROM AT93C46@16 ...
    Is this program reader able to detect this chip ?
    I have used a adaptor from SOP8/16 to DIP8 (150m) : is that correct ?

    Thank you for your help

      you need to tell the programmer the correct chip and post the backup bin

        I have manually selected chip with below carateristics :
        Type = SPI_FLASH
        Manufacturer = WINBOND
        Name = W25Q128JV
        Size = 16MB
        Pagesize = 256
        And I read it at 12MHz and 6MHz.
        But what I got is an empty bin I guess (renamed .txt)
        Thank you for your help

          Use CH341A Programmer Green with volt controller.

            I am using EZP2023+ with voltage adapter.
            If the chip is blank, is it possible to flash it with a bin file ? Is it possible to buy a new chip and flash it with a bin provided by someone on this forum ?
            The trick is that I don't have access neither to Windows ...

              EDIT: Try it without the voltage adapter, the chip is 3.3V

              Its important to make a good backup of the chip, or you create more work and more problems later on.I would take the advice given already,and buy a CH341A. They are very cheap,and better than the EZP programmers if you use it with alternative software

                I will follow your advice and order a CH341A with 1.8 adapter. What are the alternative software and where can they be found ?
                I have tried so many combinations that I don't even know if my chip is still good. If not, am I condamned ?

                  Try the EZP without the voltage adapter, the chip is 3.3V ,i just noticed that you are using the voltage adapter in post 6

                I will but with the EZP2023+, is my adapter's correct (see attached picture) ?
                In what position should the chip be in the adapter (there 4 possible positions) ?

                      I am using Neoprogrammer 2.2.0.10 with no voltage adapter.
                      My question is how should the chip adapter should be plugged in the CH341A (I think in the lower part but what position ?).
                      Same question for the chip on the adapter : should it be with the black side upper or lower ?

                                  I was using Opera, I've just installed Firefox but same result.
                                  If you're tlaking bout this link : https://winraid.level1techs.com/t/gu...pictures/33041 I am not in this situation.
                                  I had a soldered chip that I took off from the motherboard, so I can't use the clip. I'm just asking how to put my chip in the adapter (the black side up or down) ?
