    Lenovo Thinkbook 15 IIL power on password

    Hello,

    Can you help me remove the power-on/bios password for a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 IIL?
    Here are the details:
    Model: 20SM
    S/N: LR0EMKFA

    Markings on the MB:
    Model: LVAC
    DALVACMB8D0
    REV: D

      Thank you, it worked!
      Looks like there's also an SSD password and of course it's also forgotten. Is there anything we can do about that, short of replacing the SSD?

        I'm not sure if it will work but try. If not, try to put ssd into another laptop and see if will ask for pass, that means pass is also installed into ssd. try to unlock it by PSID Unlocker.

            not yet, only bios password removal was tested by invalidating SaDatabase. I did few in this way but never had ssd password. Waiting for feedback from owner for ssd password

                Hello,

                Just tested the new mod, and it displays the same message requesting a password to unlock the SSD.
                Tried the SSD in an NVME dock and I'm unable to access the data or see any partitions.
                Tried a different SSD in the laptop and it works just fine.
                My friend (the owner of the laptop) says the data isn't that important so I guess he will buy a new SSD.
